Got the broken bolt out, though. Only took welding three nuts to it before they didn’t break off before being able to back it out far enough to use vice grips. Touched up the primer in that area to wrap up. Tomorrow I’m hoping to begin removing the steering/suspension so I can clean up the frame.

The parts you’ve primered look good.  I love seeing new paint and shiny metal on old cars.

Thanks! It’s very satisfying. I’m looking forward to getting the frame cleaned up and getting things in paint!

I hope to do the same one day, once I can afford a garage...

Can’t be too sure, but that looks like a Hobart wand. I love my ez140 and put 4 10lb rolls through it so far.  Just need to get meself into TIG now...

It is a hobart handler 140, I’ve only had it for a little while but have been very pleased with it so far! I’d like to learn tig but it’s not super high on the list of things to spend money on right now :)

I miss doing sheet metal work! I miss my old car!

Bought it with a 305 for $500. It’s where I learned to work on cars, take pride in ownership, make something mine, develop a love for cars   and how to drift at 60 mph... on accident of course.

That’s a nice Camaro!

This car was my first way back when so it’s the one that got me into the whole thing as well (though it didn’t go sideways at 60; the 307 would have a hard time with that - the 383 I’m building should be capable but I don’t plan on finding out :) )
